Meredith Johnson
Role:
Business Analyst
Company:
Municipal Employees' Retirement System of Michigan
Bio:
Meredith leads business analysis and business architecture efforts at MERS. In her work, she partners with members of MERS’ Operational Excellence team, who catalyze business transformation through the disciplines of process management, business analysis, project management, product ownership, Agile, business architecture and business intelligence.
Meredith works across project, operational, and strategic levels of the organization, partnering with business leaders to define solutions that can sustain change.
Meredith is a relative newcomer to business analysis, having spent the earlier part of her career in the fields of law, policy, fund development, strategic planning, and nonprofit management. In 2018, never one to shy away from a challenge, she switched gears to the financial industry as an analyst at MERS, and then quickly discovered a love for business analysis. Five years later, she has earned her CBAP, and is now pursuing new skills in business architecture. Meredith has dual degrees in International Relations and English from Michigan State University and a JD from MSU College of Law.
Meredith’s sense for adventure stretches beyond business analysis and business architecture – she loves to travel and try new things (pickleball, anyone?). When she isn’t working or travelling, she’s busy supporting her two kids’ many interests in sports, music, and academics.
