Getting to Denver

Denver International Airport (DEN) is a major airline hub.

Since opening on Feb. 28, 1995, Denver International Airport (DEN) has become one of the world’s busiest airports. In 2025, 82,427,962 passengers passed through DEN, making DEN 4th busiest airport in the U.S. and the world’s 10th busiest airport.

The RTD A Line Train connects the airport directly to downtown Denver at Union Station for a $10 fare in 37 minutes. Union Station is a 17 minute walk along pedestrianized 16th Street Mall to the hotel - or take the free MallRide shuttle.

Local Recommendations

Mid-May is one of the best times of year to visit Denver. The weather is typically warm during the day, cool in the evenings, and generally sunny, with pleasant conditions for walking between hotels, restaurants and shops. The hotel is in an excellent location, with most of the best restaurants, bars, and entertainment within a 5–15 minute walk and only a few minutes walk from the 16th Street pedestrian district. Here’s what you can typically expect for May 17–20:

Weather Typical
Daytime high: 70–75°F (21–24°C)
Overnight low: 43–48°F (6–9°C)
Sunshine: 8–10 hours/day
Chance of rain: 20–30% (usually brief afternoon showers)
Humidity: Low (comfortable)
Snow: Very unlikely in downtown Denver (though the mountains will still have snow)
Altitude: Denver is one mile (5,280 feet / 1,609 m) above sea level.

What you should pack
Lightweight clothing for daytime (though always good to have a jacket/sweater in the conference area).
A light jacket or sweater for mornings and evenings.
Sunglasses and sunscreen—the mile-high elevation makes the sun surprisingly intense.
A compact umbrella or light rain jacket, just in case of a passing shower.
