With over 25 years of experience, Sumit is a recognized leader in AI-driven transformation across industries including Insurance, Healthcare, Banking, and Energy. At EXL, he leads the AI Consulting practice, driving large-scale, sustainable change by reimagining customer journeys and embedding AI across business operations.

Sumit is responsible for end-to-end solutioning and delivery, heading a team of multidisciplinary experts in Agentic AI, Generative AI, Advanced Analytics, CX, Process Redesign, and Six Sigma. His work is focused on designing scalable AI-centric operating models that deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.

Sumit holds a Bachelor’s degree from Birla Institute of Technology and an MBA in Information Systems from AIMA, complemented by an executive MBA (PGPMax) from the Indian School of Business. He also completed the Chief Digital Officer program at MIT.

His certifications include AWS Solutions Architect and Cloud Practitioner, Master Black Belt (ISI), PMP (PMI), and Agile Scrum Master (EXIN). Known for his thought leadership, Sumit challenges the status quo to drive innovation and excellence.
