In a conversation with a colleague Heather heard this ‘Being a business analysis professional today is totally different than 25 years ago.” As she pondered this, she concluded that this is true AND false. What we do is absolutely the SAME. How we do it has changed and will continue to change. The core skills and techniques of business analysis as a profession remain a solid foundation. We still work with people and processes in our organizations and need to continue with these foundational skills to build on. Without a solid foundation structures and practices crumble and fail. Change has been constant since the dawn of time. That will continue. Let’s talk about the foundation of business analysis and how we adapt to build on it.
