In analogy with the Business Process Modelling & Notation Standard (BPMN), the Decision Model & Notation standard (DMN) was developed, that allows modelling decisions and processes separately. Decision table models offer unique features to capture the business logic of those decisions effectively and correctly by the business, and can be made explainable using plain natural language.

Decision models also allow to provide explanations, advice and support, where current solutions (helpdesk support, FAQs, generative AI chatbots, …) are expensive or do not meet real customer demands.

This session takes you from the secrets behind knowledge-based decision intelligence to decision table methodology and explainable decision services, including best practices, examples and experiences, for modeling decision rules by domain experts in real business situations (insurance, finance, healthcare, …).
