Summary:
Business Architecture is attracting professionals from many backgrounds with a variety of levels of experience for good reasons. There is a never-ending emphasis on transformation due to digitalization, new business models, shrinking time in market, and new capabilities such as AI that are driving new products, services, and new ways of working. Business Analysts want to go higher and wider. Enterprise Architects want to understand business drivers before launching expensive technology implementations. Strategy leaders want to see their great plans trace to real solutions implementation sooner. Those coming to the table will have disparate qualifications, education and expertise but they all must work together to architect better and faster multi-dimensional results with lower risk in a world of growing complexity.
For those coming to the profession it means that some new skills will be needed. This session will lay out a competency framework for Business Architects at the beginning of the Business Architecture journey and also for those striving to advance to senior leadership levels. It is based on a year long effort to articulate what’s needed by a small group of respected industry leaders. Join, learn and help contribute to the definition of what is needed to grow as a Business Architect.
