Bio:
Sandra Gaw is an innovative leader with over 16 years’ experience in Information Technology. She holds a master’s degree in Business Administration as well as many technical and non-technical certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Government Chief Information Officer (CGCIO), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate: SQL Server (MCSA).
In her role as Information Services Manager for Charlotte County, FL, Sandra’s mission has been to drive the adoption of data driven decision making in the county. The first step of that process was to implement a self-service business intelligence program in the county that allowed users to access the data they needed when they needed it. With the success of that program, the next step in her journey is to lay the groundwork for an environment in which users can use that data to evaluate their process’ in support of their core functions, enabling a culture of continuous process improvement.
On a lighter note, when she’s not thinking about data, Sandra generally spends her time enjoying the outdoors either hiking through the woods or exploring Florida’s waterways.
