Bio:
Kurt is the Chief Information Officer for TransLink, Metro Vancouver’s (Canada) integrated, multi-modal regional transportation authority. They plan, finance, manage, and operate the transportation network to meet the region’s unique needs, serving a population of 2.5 million with an average of 1.3M boardings each weekday on its bus, rail, and ferry services. Kurt provides executive leadership for TransLink’s enterprise technology strategy, services, and cybersecurity functions. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration and several professional designations as a consultant, project delivery specialist, and board director. In addition to his executive responsibilities, Kurt sits on the Board of Directors for E-Comm 911, British Columbia’s emergency contact and dispatch service, serving as Chair of the Transformation Oversight Task Force and as a member of the Finance and Audit Committee.
