Summary:
We have all been on projects when delivery doesn’t hit the mark. The proverbial “the user asked for a car and got a horse cart” at the end. The horse cart is slow, the seats are uncomfortable and not leather, there are no coffee cup holders…. In other words, the capabilities and the features are substandard and not meeting the customer expectations. This is bad! But it could be worse!
Imagine that the cart is unsafe or dangerous—it lacks steering, the horse harness breaks, or there is no seating capacity for the passenger’s family or friends! This means the Non Functional Requirements (NFRs) failed – security, access, capacity, robustness, scalability!
Join Bri and Michael on a journey through projects that failed the NFR test. They will examine different initiatives, some big and some even bigger, and explore the root causes of what happened—the common theme is a lack of quality business analysis.
