Summary:
Will your proposal make the cut? Will the Business Value Barracudas fund your project? Businesses (and Barracudas) only fund projects that they believe will deliver value. And that value has to be presented in a way that emphasizes factors the business cares about. In this hands-on session, participants will learn to establish and measure business value using tools such as goals, OKRs, and KPIs. The difference between needs, issues, and problems will be explored and clarified. Participants will also learn about the structure of an effective business case and will practice developing a cost/benefit summary and an executive summary. At the end of the session, small groups will fine-tune their “pitch” based upon a persona that they develop for one of the Barracudas. And then…sound check! Lights up! The Barracudas will take the stage. Each team will have the opportunity to present their pitch to the Barracudas and will receive coaching on its effectiveness.
