A Transformational Decade
Speaker: Delvin Fletcher, President & CEO, IIBA
We know that this decade is transformational – COVID (obviously!) but also evolving trends in the impact of business analysis on strategy and transformation. IIBA has started what we hope will be a long-term commitment to action-oriented research on key interrelationships between business analysis and critical business drivers, starting with two important thematic areas – data analytics and agility. We’ll discuss some of our early learning and the implications for our work and the future of our profession.

The past eighteen months have forced us all to change how we work, often dramatically. Speculation abounds about ‘when we get back to normal’ but no one really knows what or when that will be. Are some practices gone for good? Which should we revive and which should we change? Are we now realizing possibilities we were unaware of previously? This session features an open discussion with the Chairs of the BBC about what you can expect in the new normal and how you as a professional can stay on top of your game. Come prepared to interact!
- What have we learned from 2020 and 2021?
- What approaches should be sustained, changed or jettisoned?
- What new insights will stay with us?
- What skills and competencies does the new hybrid work world demand?

A session inspired and sponsored by BBC Women in Technology showcasing some of the learning we gathered through a year of mentoring circles. The session focuses on planting the seeds of success during an interview. This year’s mentors will host an interactive multimedia experience showcasing how an interview can go wrong, and what we can do to make it better. We incorporate tips and tricks from this year’s mentors, as well as input from the mentoring circle participants. Be prepared to help with live in-session feedback for our “candidate.”
